Cooling Innovation Proposal · Australia

Build the next layer of Pryme cooling.

Pryme already has a strong cooling PPE foundation. The next opportunity is not another version of the same cooling vest — it is a broader technology ladder covering lightweight battery-free cooling, longer-duration circulation cooling and high-intensity active cooling.

3 gaps.One expandable cooling platform.

Pryme already owns the foundation.
Now expand the cooling ladder.

Pryme’s existing range already serves hydration, evaporative and phase-change cooling use cases. Our proposal is to add technologies that create meaningfully different user experiences rather than product duplication.

Existing Strength

Evaporative Cooling

Accessible, reusable cooling for airflow-rich work environments and broad worker adoption.

Existing Strength

Dry Evaporative

Water-activated cooling with a drier wearing experience and extended activation window.

Existing Strength

PCM Cooling

Stable-temperature cooling for confined spaces, PPE layering and radiant-heat applications.

Next Opportunity

Active Cooling Platform

Circulation and Peltier technologies unlock stronger cooling, differentiated price tiers and new premium applications.

The goal: give Pryme a “good / better / best / extreme” cooling architecture across more heat-stress scenarios.

Three concepts worth sampling.

Each concept fills a different gap, so Pryme can test market fit without forcing one technology to solve every heat-stress problem.

💧

HybridCool

Lightweight · Battery-free

A flexible evaporative platform designed for close-to-body wear. Water is used as the cooling source while the inner-side construction is designed to stay more comfortable and less wet against the wearer.

ActivationAdd water
Cooling effectApprox. 10–15°C*
Typical durationApprox. 1.5–3 h*
PowerNo battery
Form factorVest / sleeve / neck / base layer
Best fit: outdoor crews, construction, utilities, transport, lightweight summer PPE.
🔄

Ice Water Circulation

Longer-duration · Strong contact cooling

Chilled water circulates through a garment tubing network, creating consistent contact cooling across the torso. Cooling can be refreshed by replacing ice or chilled water rather than replacing the full garment.

Cooling sourceIce + water reservoir
Reservoir options450–900 ml
Typical cooling windowApprox. 1.5–3 h*
Electrical demandLow-power pump
Refresh methodReplace ice / chilled water
Best fit: mining, workshops, warehouses, confined areas and crews with fixed break cycles.
❄️

Peltier Active Cooling

Instant · Controllable · Premium

Semiconductor cooling modules create an immediate cold-side effect with electronic control. This is the strongest innovation story for users who need fast, noticeable cooling and are willing to accept a powered system.

Cooling principleThermoelectric / Peltier
ResponseNear-instant
ControlMultiple output levels
PowerRechargeable battery
Product tierPremium / extreme heat
Best fit: premium PPE, high-heat industrial work, specialist operators and innovation-led channel launches.

*Performance depends on garment coverage, airflow, ambient temperature, humidity, reservoir configuration and test method. Final figures should be validated on the selected sample specification.

One portfolio. Different jobs to be done.

The right portfolio gives buyers a clear reason to trade up instead of comparing four nearly identical cooling vests.

Technology Power Cooling Character Runtime Model Wearability Best Commercial Role
Traditional Evaporative Battery-free Ambient-dependent Re-wet to reactivate Simple / broad use Entry & volume
HybridCool Battery-free Stronger close-body evaporative feel Re-water to reactivate Low-profile / flexible New lightweight innovation
PCM Battery-free Stable temperature Recharge / rechill packs Pack-based Controlled-temperature PPE
Water Circulation Low power Strong contact cooling Refresh ice / water System-based Longer-shift industrial
Peltier Powered Fast active cooling Recharge / swap battery Premium active system Extreme / premium tier

Low-risk path from concept to range.

Rather than making a large range decision upfront, we suggest a small technical validation process with clear commercial gates.

STEP 01

Select 1–2 gaps

Pryme identifies the use cases where its current cooling range has the most room for differentiation.

STEP 02

Sample & benchmark

Test cooling performance, comfort, recharge workflow and fit against the current Pryme / market alternatives.

STEP 03

Local user trial

Put shortlisted concepts in the hands of Australian industrial users during real hot-weather conditions.

STEP 04

Build a Pryme SKU

Optimise garment construction, cooling coverage, branding, battery or reservoir and target price for launch.

Why this can be a strong fit.

Pryme already has the channel and heat-stress story. Vinmori’s role is to add a broader technology engine behind that market access.

What Pryme brings

Industrial channel access
Existing credibility across heat stress, hydration and worker protection.
Real Australian use cases
Mining, construction, transport, utilities and extreme-heat working conditions.
Customer feedback loop
Ability to validate comfort, durability and price positioning with actual users.

What Vinmori brings

Multi-technology platform
Evaporative, HybridCool, PCM, fan, water circulation, heating and Peltier systems.
OEM / ODM engineering
Technology can be integrated into new Pryme-specific garment structures and form factors.
Rapid concept iteration
Develop around cooling level, runtime, weight, coverage and target commercial positioning.

Which gap is most interesting for Pryme?

Choose HybridCool, Water Circulation or Peltier. We can then narrow the discussion to one target user, one garment concept and one commercial price position before arranging the next sample.
